Kruger Helps to Launch a Mobile Vaccination Clinic

Answering the call to help the Québec government in its efforts to vaccinate the population, Kruger is proud to have partnered with the Integrated University Health and Social Services Centre (CIUSSS) for the Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec regions, and with the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), for the dedication of the very first mobile vaccination clinic to hit the road in Québec.

Kruger’s contribution to the project consists in supplying the bus that will be used as the mobile clinic, as well as the necessary resources to operate it.

The mobile clinic will be touring the Maurice and Centre-du-Québec areas to reach more vulnerable people, as well as municipalities and workers at their place of work, including some Kruger employees from its two Trois-Rivières facilities. They will have opportunities to use the service depending on the clinic’s itinerary and booking availability, as established by the CIUSSS which will manage the clinic.

The mobile clinic was launched on May 18 during a press event held at the Kruger Wayagamack Mill, in the presence of Dr. Marie-Josée Godi, Director of Public Health and Population Responsibility for the Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec regions; Mr. Gilles Hudon, Deputy Chairman and CEO, CIUSSS MCQ; Mr. Jean Boulet, MNA for Trois-Rivières, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Solidarity, and Minister Responsible for the Mauricie Region; Mr. Christian Blanchette, Rector of UQTR ; Mr. Gino Lévesque, Senior Vice President, Kruger Packaging; and Mr. Jean Lamarche, Mayor of Trois-Rivières.

Kruger’s contribution to the project is in line with the numerous initiatives the Company has supported over the past twelve months through its facilities across North America. It stems from its commitment to ensure not only the well-being of its employees and their families, but also the communities they call home.
